Non-Graduates of Interface Driving Academy should bring the following Items when they come for testing.

  • Picture ID – Washington or High School ID card; Passport; High School yearbook with class picture
  • Washington State ID Number – If you do not yet have your Washington ID Number this link will take you to a DOL website where you can apply for one. http://www.dol.wa.gov/driverslicense/preapply.html

Exam Prices

The fees* for the Knowledge exam are: (Reservations Recommended – Seating is limited and those with reservations will be seated 1st)

  • IDA Graduates –  No Charge, the first attempt is included in the tuition . Retake of failed exam – $20
  • Non-Graduates of IDA – $20  Retake of failed exam – $20  

The fees* for the Skills exam are: (Reservation Required, Non-Graduates of IDA are required to pay fees at the time reservation is made)

  • IDA Graduates – First attempt - No Charge
  • Non-graduates of IDA
    • Using your vehicle $35
    • Using IDA Vehicle $45
  • Retake of the skills exam:
    • Graduates of IDA $35
    • Non-graduates of IDA
      • Using your vehicle $35
      • Using IDA Vehicle $45

The fee* for 45 minutes of training prior to the skills exam is $35. Reservations are required and payment must be made with Reservation 

*These fees are separate from the fee charged for your Traffic Safety Course and DOL’s application and licensing fees*
